It is not a toy machine. From what I have found the speculate it is the predecessor of the Singer Featherweight. Mine has a steel base so weighs about 16 lbs. It is 10.5 x 6.5 x 10 tall. Singer later used the name Sewhandy for toy machines in the mid century.
It makes a good straight stitch only. I just need to get a new belt. It will use a hoover belt so will be stopping by the shop to see if I can pick one up and a new light bulb.
