I have an old directions where the checked poly/cotton was made with just two layers of fabri with batting, edge finished in prairie points, and then turned and tied. It's almost a one day quilt and oh so comfortable and usable
I even published one in a magazine many years ago
I was concerned about using them in quilts because they are poly cotton - thanks for easing my mind! I had invisioned some colorful pinwheels or 1/2 square triangles. . .
