I would definitely keep it and use it. As well as quilts, gingham makes great placemats (quilted of course) and aprons. I am doing a string quilt using all kinds of scrappy strings, including some cut up clothes belonging to my stepson's fiance (the quilt will be for her), some of it is poly cotton gingham....in it goes...I am stitching to a foundation and so far it's looking pretty good.
