We took out a policy for my mother in 2002 and in 2007 she had a stroke and ended up in a beautiful Assisted Living complex with her own apartment, wonderful caregivers, meals and housekeeping included. The cost was around $6,000 per month and her Long Term Care policy covered it until she passed in April of this year. We had paid about $20,000 in premiums before her stroke and they paid out nearly $300,000 in benefits. It was one of the top 3 Long Term Care companies in the country and I bless them every day!
