Originally, I had planned to teach my 9.5 yo DGD, along with two 6-yo girls, to make a simple, small quilt. After a trial run with a craft, my DD and I both decided the younger girls probably aren't ready for sewing. My DGD is taking to sewing, like a duckling to water. She picked out her favorite fabrics (BTW, she LOVES monkey! LOL), arranged them, then started pinning and sewing. She finished the quilt top, on Sunday. Next time she comes over, we'll work on the back.
She did all of this, except for the appliqued heart, with her name and date. I'm so proud of her!
Her quilt is 36" x 48".
