The Lady Kenmore model 89 is for sure not the same machine as a Supernova. The Lady Kemore is actually the same machine as the Pfaff 280. Both were made by Gritzner-Kayser. Though Sears sold the Lady Kenmore and Pfaff the 280. I know all this because I've been searching for a decent priced Lady Kenmore for about a year!
I did a search to see what A Lady Kenmore Model 89 looks like, very nice looking machine. Have you seen this blog posting on the Lady Kenmore? There are a lot of really nice looking machines!!
