i've discovered there is a global economy. the big names are in every country. i went to paris and found nothing i couldn't buy cheaper at home. i didn't go to the haute couture designers, for sure, but converse and levis are the same in nearly every major city. i ended up bringing the 'kids' eiffel tower keychains, and coins. not exciting gifts!
