I bruised my thumb pretty good last night trying to get the belt back on after oiling the bottom of my Singer 66-1 red eye.
I finally figured out that the belt had to come apart to go back on. What a PITA!

These are the same irons on my AG Mason (White) treadle...and no. No belt shifter...
