Nanabird your quilt is beautiful....I too fly by the seat of my pants when buying fabric and creating my designs (so glad I'm not alone in this...I feel a little guilty about it sometimes!). Always wondered about incorporating my love of embroidery into a quilt stitch. The name Turkey Tracks is a nice name for this stitch, I learned this stitch when I was young, and it was called Fly Stitch.
