I also suggest that you look at machines that has a USB port to upload embroidery designs to it. You can buy designs (and some are free) from various websites, download them to a USB stick, then stick that into your machine. Your machine already has a USB port and a lot of the memory sticks you can buy for machines are proprietary and won't work in most PC's.

When you download the embroidery - just make sure you download the correct file extension (PES, DST etc).

Also ... I found that the colors don't always translate. I always scroll through the design on the machine first and note which area it is downloading and make a note of the color order it is going to call for. That way I get the red flowers and the flesh colored hand ... instead of a blue hand and a black flower! The design I downloaded yesterday called for a Magenta face. Ummm ... no.
