Okay, lets start
The first step is: We make (surprise surprise!) excentric log-cabins with yellow and blue strips. The yellows are the smaller strips, the blues are wider. We need six LGs, i made six equal pieces, but you can also make three pieces "so" and three "so" or you make six different LGs, maybe a rainbow or so...
Important is: The light side has small stripes, the dark side has wide stripes. Make it with measures from 3-4 inches (but all equal!)
