I found this today and looked at it. It does not have the bottom for reverse, but it does have the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] upper lever above the pressure foot lever. The number on the shuttle plate is 3735183 I think. It has a picture of the needle on it and it is longer than a 15x1. is the reverse button missing ? There is no hole for it. It is very small.
Some one put a motor on it. I did not try to sew, it has not been used in years.
Is it good or bad?

Phyllis, I own a Davis that looks like that. It's a Davis NVF, which takes 15x1 needles. The needle that shows on my plate is the same size as the 15x1. Try putting the standard needle, 15x1, on top of the image. Mine has a reverse button, which is only used to tack back just a wee bit. I don't think the reverse on the Davis is like what we think of as a reverse or preforms like the reverse on the Singers. Looks like the treadle is missing the treadle pedal. Is it?
You can toss the motor and treadle that machine- if you wish.
