I'll be receiving mine sometime this week and I would like to stock up on some things, so I can start using it immediately.

I have the PE770 too. The bobbin thread that came with the machine is #90, however I purchased Coats & Clark size 70 and it works just fine. Sometimes I put the same thread in the bottom as on top, when it is visible and the top thread I have is 40 wt. Just play with it and have fun.
