I have to admit that I was very afraid to try the FMQ...but others had said with my Horizon it was as easy as it can be. I had tried and tried years ago with my faithful standby Pfaff, but the feed dogs wouldn't go down and I didn't know how to do it. I was just one frustrated person. So, when it was time to buy a "better" (meaning more bells and whistles since my Pfaff still sews like a dream) machine, I looked for one that I could buy where the feed dogs went down easily. I am now a believer--not yet an experienced one, but it really wasn't that hard and my machine sewed just fine as FMQ or piecing. I was afraid going back and forth would be difficult (sewing the seams and FMQ). It wasn't a problem. I just had to change the feet out.

I definitely want to do more applique as well. We have a visitor coming in two days so I asked him to bring me two rolls of Heat n Bond from Walmart. Hopefully he will bring the right stuff. I used up most of a roll (I only brought one back to Poland with me) on this one quilt.
