~ fireworks displays have been cancelled all over the area here due to the record high temps and dry weather we are having. the fireworks display at our riverfront is still on. but i am sure there is some guy somewhere whose thinking to himself he ain't heeding no warnings and will set off his fireworks only to set his or a neighbor's roof on fire tonight.
idiot.
~ my brother and i thought to get out early this morning to do our 2 mile walk to beat the heat. we usually start at 8am so today we started out at 7am but the temp was already at 85 degrees and the humidity was thick enough to slice up and mail off. we hung in there and got the 2 miles done. phew!
~ lori your words of wisdom is a mind bending tongue twister but something to consider. my city is the home of budweiser and clydesdale horses and many at the july 4th celebration are drinking shaved ice and snow cones instead of a cold bud today.
the roads will be much safer tonight.
