I am machine quilting it. I have a Tin Lizzie with the Shirley Stitcher computer so I can do most anything. This is a customer quilt and she wants it to keep with the country feel, otherwise feathers would be my first choice for sure.
If this is the case then I most whole heartedly agree with Tartan that baptist fans are the way to go. Traditional churn dash quilting, as others have posted is echo quilting 1/4 from the seam line and a simple cross hatch in the center, look in the lower right hand corner of my quilt pictured here:
