I have used various methods and now finally I have a bee that I am happy with (not quilt police perfect). I actually shopped in my stash and found more background fabric saving me a run to JoAnns or the not too friendly LQS. I should have realized that I needed to cut background blocks a little bigger than the finished size needed ...
