Definitely prefer piecing, but am starting to not mind quilting since actually trying it on my Horizon. With the dual feed or trying FMQ for the first time, the experience was at least positive--at least a 6 out of 10 and not a 3 or 2 out of 10.
Piecing and sewing in general is right up there close to a 10 out of 10. Trimming half square triangles is about a 1 out of 10.
And I agree that when tired or in a hurry, it is better to just stop--go clean up the kitchen or check out QB, as things can do downhill quickly at the sewing or embroidery machine.
