I do FM on all my quilts with a Brother HS-2000. It has 5" of throat space. I puddle the quilt & do small areas at a time. I've made everything from Table Runners to a quilt probably pretty close to if not actually queen sized & everything in between. As long as I use my darning foot, my fingerless therapeutic gloves & plenty of light, I do just fine. No one has complained one bit & it's very rewarding!! Good luck with yours.
