That's always been my philosoophy, too. There was a period a few years back when I made 3 quilts where the main fabric was peach (2 wedding quilts & one for my parents). I
HATE HATE HATE peach! But I knew the new owners would like them, so I just grinned (or not... LOL) & bore it.
