My house was once very clean too. That was before arthritis, age, and a yellow lab entered my life. Most of the clutter is under control. However, I still long for the days when I could do everything. I know that won't happen again, and I'm finding I simply don't have the stamina that I once did. In addition, in the summer there is yardwork, and flower gardens to play in. The dog hair bothers me, but I no longer vacuum everyday. I try to keep it presentable, and a decent evening meal on the table. DH does not help with anything, unless asked, and I'm tired of asking. If he doesn't like something he can do it himself.
