My mom always used the big frames and would turn the long sides as the quilt progressed. When I was a child, playing underneath the quilt top was great fun. Especially when other kids would be there to help with the play while their mothers helped with the quilt. We seem to be more solitary with quilting now. Perhaps thats why we have this board.
