My mother would put a brisket in the dutch oven and then make egg noodles. She draped the noodles over dowels hanging between cabinet doors. Three out of four of us kids would find excuses to wander through the kitchen to sneak the noodles. My sister was to little to reach so she had to beg us to sneak her some. I think she got more because she had us all taking for her. We always had coleslaw with beef and noodles.
