I've had German Shepherds; different personalities. Loved them all. I don't have a dog right now. However, one day I was sitting on the ground in the front yard. A young female German Shepherd walked across the yard. She walked past me as I spoke to her, then she turned, walked over to me, gave me a lick on the cheek, and then walked off. I never seen her since. There was something special about that to me; don't know exactly what though.
