What a positively brilliant idea! Not only are you saving instead of throwing out a perfectly good batting, but you are using up stash, using your creativity, and creating a brand new, double sided quilt! Brilliant! I have exactly the quilt that needs that "assistance". It's in great shape, but the surface is worn in places, and stained. I can just cover it up, and do it in the evenings when I like to sit with some handwork and listen to music or books on tape (I rarely watch TV.), and for me it can take as long as I want, since the quilt is not currently in use.
