I use the BIG black binding clips that are found in a office supply store. They seem expensive but they last forever.I think I bought 3 packs and that is plenty to clamp down full size quilt. Make sure your table is not too wide for clip
This is what I do too, they work great. Their one drawback is if the table edges are too wide.
