Pretty much on the fence for me,too! Flannels, I definitely wash, others it depends. Fabric wherever I can find it and it is of good quality and the price is right. I learn shortcuts and tips every day and the more quilting I do the more I am learning tings on my own. Mostly, I do whatever suits me and works for me.
