Wow, don't wait too long! I've had Janome machines for years, worked them all very hard and every one has only been retired due to my desire for a newer, fancier machine. In fact, I first chose a Janome based on the recommendation of a home ec. sewing teacher because Janome was the machine that stood up well to high school students. Add that background to the capacity of the new machines and the Janome becomes a fine, reliable product. On top of that, it sounds like you have a great place to continue dealing with as you keep up with regular maintenance visits. DO IT.
