I use charcoal for any problem odors. I set charcoal brickettes from our grill supplies in an open container and set it under the ordorous object or beside it. We had some new things that smelled and the charcoal absorbed the smell, good luck.- Did the furniture smell at the store where you bought it? If not have them check it out, maybe something happened to your furniture.
We had our fridge freezer go out and fish thawed, it was the worst smell ever- thought we would have to throw the fridge out- used the charcoal and the smell disappeared.
