i wouldn't do anything with it now. i would complain to the store first and see what they'll do, but if you've done anything, they may not take
responsibility. if they tell you the smell will go away in a few (days - weeks - months) make them write it down so you have recourse later, or when they fire the manager. or when they deny they ever said it.

in the meantime, i would air it out the best i could, use charcoal if i could, but not use anything that adds any odor. i wouldn't spend money on a filter for something the store should make better for you.
