I was visiting my dad & step-mom in August and just HAD to make this for their large round table they have. She's very much in to patriotic decor.

I was quite nervous when I started because of using the, what I call, half-moon pieces on the outer edges and working with a 1-1/2" square. But it was easier than I thought.
I found the basic concept (round outer edges) in a magazine from 1997 and decided it was something I could use to make a new style.

I'm still a newbie in quilting, but I'd like to start working with smaller pieces rather than the larger 4" pieces.
