Another reminder is change the needle out every 8-ish hours. I've heard people with 25 year old machines say why should they, it still sews. Cars with no tires will still go down the road, but...
Yeah, well, from what I've seen if we could get people to do it once in a year it would be a hefty start. Your machines will probably last for ever. Won't be seeing any of yours at Goodwill. Some of those other people will send it there instead of cleaning it.
