Vikings latest machine has a really large hoop and it cost alot more; that's the Diamond. I have the Ruby and there is only one hoop that the Diamond has that the Ruby doesn't. Ruby has some large hoops, it comes with one that is 14 x 9 (I think) it's 200 x 360 if you know the conversion to inches. It also has an 8 x 8 hoop and two difference endless hoops which are really great. The Ruby is also a lot cheaper than the Diamond and has so many features that it makes a good choice. Go to Vikings web site and you can compare the machines that they have to each other to see if this works for you. I'm sure most machines have the similar thing on their site. I just know the ruby and it is so worth it. I do think you are going about it the right way if you are looking to get one. I wanted the one with the largest hoop and easy to learn. Mine does it all and I get free classes every month.
