Red face 201-2 1941 Rebirthing

Whew!

Actually 1941...sorry.

I am finally done with this 71 year old machine. It has been totally redone since the original shape was terrible. My regret is that I did not take a picture of it before restoration. The machine was sanded to the bone, primed, repainted, decals applied, lacquered and then a top coat of shellac was applied, motor completely rewired, and timing set.

Serial AF887162

P.S. This is hybrid approach which Glenn and I have been discussing...

I will document more completely my 306 that I'm about to begin on.

The 201-2 is now purring and sewing perfectly. Very tight stitches. Not bad for an old gal .
Here are some pictures.
