Think that is what they are called. A snug vest or some sort that makes them feel more secure. We don't have that problem so don't know how they work. We are more feline infested, one canine, the noise and lightening does drive a couple of the cats into hiding if they aren't kenneled ahead of time.

And as always, if you get animals for quilting buddies and not breeding, please spay or neuter the animal to help cut down on the needless waste of life at the pounds.

Our Bella would probably eat that too. She seems to do better in the garage where there are no windows. We have a night light in there and a fan to keep her cool. It also seems to drown out the thunder noise.
We have a 4 yo rescued Shepherd Mix, Cooper, that hates the storms and has terrible seperation anxiety. We have a Thunder Shirt for him but we haven't found that it is very effective for him. He wears it proudly and doesn't try to get out of it at all. He just prefers that his security come from one of his humans as opposed to a snug cotton knit shirt. When there is thunder, fireworks or idiots shutting off guns celebrating a holiday (we live in the city limits), we just close all the blinds and turn up the TV and sit on the couch with him. Not always convenient but we rescued him not knowing his past. He obviously was neglected as he only weighed 50# and was heartworm positive. He doesn't like male strangers at all. He has lots of energy and not very good manners so we are pretty sure that his previous owners did not treat him well. We love him anyway and just take his behaviors in stride. We have had him almost a year and have been able to quell some of his obnoxious behaviors but he reverts quickly without constant training. Okay, I digressed, oops sorry! There are mixed reviews about the Thunder Shirt. Just do a google search!
