I have the Brother 4000D which has a huge hoop. I have never needed anything bigger. It has a 12 x 7 embroidery area. There is also a way to expand your embroidery area beyond your given area. I forgot what they call it, but it attaches to your embroidery unit and fools your machine. Babylock or Brother are both USA made. They are well built and stand up to the job. I also own a Viking Husqvarna and would prefer my Brother everytime. Viking Husqvarna along with several others that were made in countries other then China are now being made China. Also, one thing to watch is if they have revised a model a couple of times. This means they have been having trouble with the original. I have a Brother 4000D and a Babylock Crown Jewel. Love them both! They are dependable and the tech support is fantastic.
