Had to join this thread...I grew up with a Mom that could sew a linen outfit, cross-stitch, knit...you name it! I didn't have the patience to hand baste a hem! Fast forward...I'm now teaching my mommy (who lives with me!) to quilt! I'll have her on the long arm (that she helped me obtain...so thankful!) before you know it! Thankful forever for these memories and this chance to be with her...thanks for sharing your story!
