I've only purchased thread from Connecting Theads, it's a good quality and when buying by the "sets" it's considerably cheaper than buying locally (JoAnns, Wal-Mart, etc.)

I'm ready to order some fabric (Impressions of Kyoto) and will get the free shipping (over $50.). Some of my friends have purchased CT and say that the fabric is silky like Northcott (sp?). Their cotton is grown in the U.S.A.
