And yes, I would definitely try a lighter batting because the Warm & Natural cotton batting did make the quilt heavy. Probably some of the heaviness is due to the zillion seam allowances of the two sides, but having made only two quilts with batting, both times using W & N, I didn't know enough to take that into consideration. (I do now! )
