Now introducing a baby quilt I designed for my violin teacher's new born daughter.
I wanted to illustrate the french phrase "when the cat is not here, the mouses are dancing", but with "violin" so i wrote on my quilt: "when the cat plays violin" and you can see the mouses dancing on the bottom of the quilt.
For safety reasons I used my machine for the appliqué but I hand quillted the work. I used a large batting because it wanted it to look cosy and puffy.
