I see your point, and I feel for you, because I would have exactly the same response. The LA deserves to know your concerns. She can only get better because of it, or she doesn't belong in the business selling her services. If it were me, I would take out the areas that 'don't look right'. I am willing to bet someone, if not yourself, could most certainly correct those areas and no one would be the wiser. Hopefully the entire quilting doesn't need to be taken out. That said, this is your niece's quilt that you lovingly made for her. It is a treasure. If you are not happy with it, you may feel better having the entire thing re-done. She will see the love you put into it, she doesn't need to see the awful quilting a wannabe LA quilter did. There are several wonderfully talented people on this Board that no doubt would be willing to help you out. And if it is re-done, please share with us again. We'd all love to see the entire quilt!
