I like Brother machines and they are inexpensive compared to some of the machines. I have had Singer (which I used to swear by-but their machines aren't like the older ones, unfortunately), Kenmore, Riccar and now I have Brother machines which I have had for 15-20 years and swear by them. I am even looking at Babylock for a machine (which is the younger sibling to Brother).
