I really like Tashan's quilt. Each color of polka dots has 24 squares. I think if I put a black border around them like Tashan did, I will have a beautiful, quirky, quilt.
If you do add black borders, I would either use a solid bright around the square first, thicker, then the black, thinner, or I would use a black that is not solid- some tonal or pattern in it so the blocks integrate with the quilt.
