Louise, I get 4 or 5 monthly mags between quilting & cross stitch. I would estimate that 85% of what I see doesn't even cause a blip on my "I want to do that!" radar. But the ones that do, I scan into a pdf. That way I don't feel bad about culling out my magazine library when the whim hits me. I've already got whatever I wanted from it; BUT I do usually look through one more time to make sure I haven't missed anything before I send them on to a new home.

If you don't have the actual Adobe program (NOT the free reader that you can download) all you do is scan the file as an image, embed it into a Microsoft Word doc and then under "save as" choose "pdf". It's really pretty handy and pdf's are a more compact & stable document format.
