Default Faux Binding will pass for the real thing

This quilt is actually turned, not bound. The front is made with flannel and it's backed with Realtree fleece because I want to keep it soft and comfy for taking along on hunting trips. To that end, I wanted to tie it but time constraints have meant that I needed to finish it completely first. I'm travelling and can tie on the road, but not bind. So, I sewed an outer orange strip, basted the batting to the quilt front, trimmed to the edge and sewed the front and back right-sides-together. Then I top-stitched next to the orange which created what looks like a binding edge.

My DGD wanted a camoflage quilt, and this is what she will get. Her favourite colour is orange, so I made sure that her colour carried the pattern. The rest? My DH calls it a digital camo pattern, designed to break up the pattern and fool the eye. You quilters may recognize it as a D9P.
