After looking closely at the Amish quilt pictures in the link. Here are what I believe to be the correct block measurements:

1. The diamond is 2.5 inches per side finished. Cut at 3 inches to include the seam allowances. These could potentially be cut from 3 inch strips.
2. The lighter fabrics are .5 inch finished strips. You would cut them at 1 inch to include the seam allowance.
3. The darker fabrics are 1 inch finished strips. You would cut them at 1.5 inches to include the seam allowances.
4. There are 6 rows of dark strips on 2 adjacent sides. You would start and finish each block with the dark strips.
5. There are 5 rows of light strips on the other 2 adjacent sides.
6. You will need a total of 30 blocks to recreate this quilt.

For block placement, refer to the pictures in the link.

I hope this helps.
