Default Which machine for granddaughter

I am looking at the Singer Quick Fix and the Janome Sew Mimi for my 7 year old granddaughter. Normally, I would go with Janome, but the Singer has a dual speed which I think would be good for her. Her sewing experience has been sitting in my lap and feeding the fabric through. But I thinking she would have more fun if she had her own machine. Hancocks will have both of them on sale this month for 49.00.

I would appreciate your review if you've had experience with either one of them. I've included a link incase you want to check them out.
