The material for the center circle is called "my universe-multi". I bought the fabric and pattern at a quilt store near my daughter's home but have seen all the fabric online. I did revise the pattern to do the borders. The pattern called for weird triangles around the edges but I did a 4.5" x 1.5 " piano key type border instead.
