I have been on the receiving end of scraps from friends, to me there is plenty to do with those little pieces! I put them together in crumb blocks.......some of my crumb blocks that are 4" square have over 30 pieces of fabrics in them when I square them up. I use the salvalges too, makes for an interesting block. After you square them, some of the fabric leftover from cutting can still be used in the next block. I LOVE the results, and my friends thought I was crazy. But guess what, after they saw my completed string and Xstring quilts they are making them too! I think I am the only one of the group crazy enough to play with the little little pieces though.
