I recently quilted two very cute ones. This one was just simple 4 patch alternated with a plain white block and set on point. You could easily substitute brights for the pastels and because you have posted in the past you use a LAQ, quilting wouldn't be a problem:

This next one was even simpler, 16 log cabin blocks with all whites on one side and all colors on the other set in a barn raising pattern. If I remember correctly the logs were 1 1/2" finished so they were made with 2" cut strips. The center square was 2" finished so the piecer started out with a 2 1/2" square. Again you can easily replace the pastels used with brights.

I would think either of these quilts could be made by your deadline as long as your LAQ has an opening.
